Barry & Debbie Fonseca
Before taking over ownership of the Pilgrim House Inn back in June of 2000, with his wife Debbie, Barry’s professional career spanned over 20 years as a television news videographer. With a reputation as a quality worker who got things done under pressure he was given some of the most challenging and demanding assignments. As a seasoned veteran he has been on the front lines having to interact with thousands of individuals under what was at sometimes stressful or even dangerous situations. His work has appeared on national television networks including “The CBS Evening News” “ABC World News Tonight” and “Nightline”. Now retired from the news business Barry still remains an active member of the National Press Photographers Association.
Debbie’s professional career has and still does revolve around the health care field. As a Registered Nurse for more than 25 years, she has been involved in all aspects of patient care. From personal home healthcare to managing the nursing staff of Rhode Islands largest trauma center, she has developed the necessary skills to provide extraordinary patient care and management leadership. Her experience has earned her numerous certificates in her field. Affiliations include the Emergency Nurses Association and the Critical Care Nurses Association. Despite the long hours of managing a busy inn, Debbie still finds time to remain active in the nursing field working at the urgent care facility that she helped establish before coming an Innkeeper.
Together both Barry & Debbie live in and operate the Pilgrim House Inn. Being avid animal lovers and dog show exhibitors. They share their small owners quarters with at last count one chow dogs and four parrots the youngest of which was hatched right in the Pilgrim House. This small menagerie is usually kept hidden from the guest areas but can be seen upon request.
